Three Types of Lighting
Ambient Lighting
This is the general lighting of the space. The overall lighting is what people commonly think of when they consider lighting and is very important in a space.
Task Lighting
Task lighting is used in specific situations to accomplish a task. This includes designated lighting for particular situations where additional lighting may be required. Specific examples of this are reading and cooking.
Accent Lighting
Accent lighting is used to highlight specific points of interest. This can be anything from illuminating your favortie piece of art work to illuminating your coffered ceilings.
Lighting Automation
While working to complete your lighting design needs, we offer complete in-home automation systems. These system allow you to completely automate your facility and control lighting via a remote control or a keypad. The system will allow you to create different lighting schemes and set them to activate at different times of the day. For example, you can program your system to turn on your exterior lighting at 9:00pm and have it automatically go off at 1:00am. It will allow you to design schemes for entertaining that will light specific areas in your home for entertaining. It is a tremendous safety feature when you are on vacation because your lighting will continue to act as though you are home. Our system also will allow you to integrate other features in your home with your lighting automation; air conditioning, garage door openers, security systems, sprinkler systems, and window blind motors for example.
